The Rome Is Where My Home Is

I'm sorry I've been missing for a while. We closed last Thursdat afternoon and have been busy getting settled. I'm extremely happy and I thing GOD for his favor and for continuing to bless my family. I do want to offer a piece of advice. Be persistent with NVR and try to stay ahead of them. All kinds of things will come up as you get closer to closing but do not allow them to tell you that you will not close on your scheduled date.

  2. CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING IN YOUR DREAM HOME, THE ROME!!

It just seems like yesterday when you were breaking ground on Sept 10.
What a blessing that you are in your home and experiencing God's favor.
    Amen!!

  3. We're dealing with the NVR run-around right now actually. David is pushing them and speaking to everyone he can, but they're saying we may not close Friday as planned. Word is we might be pushed til next Wednesday which means a gazillion calls to postpone moving trucks, deliveries, installations and contacting friends and hoping they can help on another day... so I'm really hoping they pull through. It's good to know it's not just us, so Thank you! We will keep pushing!

  4. Cherie and David call your settlement coordinator at Ryan to see if they have you still scheduled. If so then tell NVR that and let them know you have deliveries etc and that you must close that day no matter what time it is. Once you get to closing its a breeze. The problem is getting there. I got even more satisfaction knowing that I didn't glacé to deal with that company anymore. They will probably have the loan sold by the time we make our first mortgage payment

    1. Thanks... we'll try anything! NVR has been insisting that it's out of their hands and with underwriting now and blaming us for leaving things late when in reality, we've been trying to contact them to find out when and what still needed to be done to ensure this went through smoothly. We shouldn't have to run after them, they know the process so make it happen - help new builders out! UGH! Bring on the Christmas miracle :D
